I make personal, joyful, handmade crafts and artworks for you.
Howdy! I’m Jason Fisher
I’m a multimedia artist specializing in wood portraiture. I’m a dog-loving, native Austinite whose tastes, culture and attitude are the result of a lifetime of working and thriving in the arts. After I earned my BFA in Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2012, I’ve worked for companies including Nickelodeon, PBS Kids!, Rooster Teeth, FXX, and many more. Notable long-form projects include FXX’s animation showcase “Cake,” Marvel’s “Hit-Monkey,” and Netflix’s “America: The Motion Picture.” In addition to being an animator, I’m also a woodworker, caricature artist, painter, and photographer.
Post-pandemic and the worldwide implementation of generative AI, I pivoted away from creating artworks digitally, opting instead to make pieces that are made by hand and exist in space. It’s an act of resistance to create art in a dimension that transcends the digital world we are trapped in.
I’ve utilized a rich career in the arts, along with hundreds of hours with Austin Community College and Asmbly Makerspace to enrich my ability to make joyful art for my community. I make artworks that are heartfelt, intentional, and unambiguous in their intention to honor their subjects. With my craft, I aim to give the gift of joy through artworks that can be hung, shared, gifted and passed on forever.
